Erik Visser

Holland's best and most original guitar player ever

Erik Visser is the main guitar player of the Dutch group Flairck. He mostly plays steel string guitars. Some have 6 strings, some 12, and some even more. He is a master in both fingerpicking and furious strumming with a flatpick, and "exciting" is the best description of his work. He has one technique that I absolutely adore, in which he retunes the strings of the guitar as an integral part of the melody. Wow! I've seen him do this live on a few occasions, and it is totally awsome. You can hear him do this on the last piece of the "Kamers" album.
